So, who is DB Cooper? On November 24, 1971, a man using the alias “Dan Cooper” hijacked a Northwest Orient Airlines flight from Portland to Seattle. Claiming he had a bomb, he demanded $200,000 in ransom and four parachutes. After receiving the money and supplies in Seattle, he released the passengers and directed the plane to fly toward Mexico City. Somewhere over the dense forests of the Pacific Northwest, he jumped from the plane with the cash—and vanished without a trace. Despite an extensive FBI investigation and countless theories, his true identity and fate remain one of America’s greatest unsolved mysteries.
